The advantage of the «rapid»-Filtermax vacuum filter is its quadratic filter surface that exhibits over 20 % more filter surface than a circular design. The quadratic shape of the bottle also results in excellent standing stability. Also, encompassment of the whole filter unit by the vacuum tubing is almost eliminated. The membrane made of polyethersulfone (PES) with a pore size of 0.22 µm and a filtering surface of 49 cm2 minimizes protein binding and allows a high filtration speed. A separately packed screw cap and nipple for the vacuum connection are supplied with each package. |
